Author: i am writing a paper over a calvin klein eternity perfume add. the ad is in black and whit and the couple in the add are both wearing white. what could that symbolize as?
the girl in the ad is supporting a wedding ring and they are pretty close together. how would that symbol purity? help i have such writers block

it can mean a lot of things:
purity
bliss/happiness
the purity of a child
a blank canvas (creativity)
heaven or something religious
comfort and protection
peace (like a white dove)
virgin
the ring and the white symbolizes the purity of a wedding. Even in modern day society there is this expectation of the bride to still hold her virginity. If she still has it she is considered pure and shameless like a child.
The ring also helps represent the purity of their love, and like the ad suggests, it will last for an 'eternity'
The way the guy is looming over her is in a kind of seductive and protective stance. The white of his shirt could symbolize the protection he is giving her. (like a guardian angel)

Well, it can mean peace and serenity, and purity (that why people wear it for wedding dresses…), and some Asian countries (such as Vietnam) see white as the colour of beauty and of Gods (i.e., Buddha is usually made of marble because it is seen as the pure and untouched colour). It can also mean death, but i don’t think thats what they want to portray. :p So yeah, it is based on purity, and the culture of beauty

All white stands for is purity and it became a wedding tradition that date backs to when women were really Virgin when they married… And in truth very few and I do mean very few women should be wearing a white wedding dress when they get married…….. For in the old country that use to check out the bridal dress for virginal blood And now since it mostly tradition because very few women remain pure until they wed it just symbolizes purity……………………………..
