What are the best smelling perfumes and colognes?
I find it easier to get a headache when I go into those sort of stores now that I’m pregnant. Just want to see what is generally liked so I don’t have to smell so many bottles. The quicker I get in and out the better. This is part of my Christmas shopping. Ty ♥
It depends on what you’re looking for.
My personal favorites are:
Happy by Clinique- It’s a light, floral-citrus scent that is great for day. Contains grapefruit, bergamot, and mimosa, among others.
Estée Lauder Private Collection Tuberose Gardenia- If you want to smell like you just got back from Hawaii, this is for you. While it has a variety of notes, it smells like the name: Tuberose and Gardenia.
XX by Hugo- still light, but not as light as Happy. It’s a fruity-floral fragrance. Contains mandarin, blackcurrent, jasmine, and sandalwood, among other notes.
Love, etc. by the Body Shop- My favorite of the moment. I can’t wait to buy a bottle and am quickly draining my sample. It is a lighter, warm "floriental" which contains pear, neroli, jasmine, vanilla, and sandlewood.
Mediterranean by Elizabeth Taylor- a darker, but still fairly light, woody-floral scent. Smells like what I picture Greece to smell like (includes plum, orchid, magnolia, and sandlewood notes, among others).
Trésor by Lancôme- a darker "floriental." It’s a classic and my favorite for evening. It contains rose, aprocot blossom, iris, amber, vanilla, and musk.
Intuition by Estee Lauder- It’s an oriental fragrance and the darkest of the bunch. It contains bergamot, rose, rhodedendron, amber, vanilla, and wood notes.
