This movie is shockingly beautiful, but very dark. I loved the ending. He wanted love and he got it in the end, albeit twisted… just like his beginning.

I reckon the book was much better than the film….
I probably would not like it if I had not had the book to compare it too.
They cut so much of the book out of the film!!!!

its based on a book …
its based on a book its fiction and the way the perfume did tha is because all of the essence of the beautiful girls plus one hooker (thers your hint) was able to do it, the perfume of perfection in its simplest form, liquid

ok im tired of EVERYONE SAYING THIS in this movie “the plum girl” IS NOT RACHEL HURD WOOD its Karoline Herfurthm, her and rachel look alot alike so i can understand the mistake oh and there not lemmons they are plums and yes plums are yellow sometimes anyways good review and i liked the ending it fit well plus its a great book adaption oh and the meaning is because he lost his only love and know one can love him he kills himself in a way out of love i guess good review

i think that most people have never seen this movie because the title kinda sounds like a romance novel somone read when bored.. of corse its not even close to that. i thought the ending was great, i really can’t think of a better way for it to end, its was funny, in a sick sort of way. i never thought that you could make a seven hundred person orgy not look perverted. but they pulled it off. fun fact- im not sure but i think thats the same little glass vile in the movie “death becomes her”

!!!!(SPOILER)!!!!i think the ending was just stupid, how could a perfume make everyone have sex? the film was so good but the ending just ruined it:( i m not being sick or anything but it would of been better if Jean-Baptiste would of been executed. it would of made the film a bit more realistic.

I saw this movie in the theater and I agree about the ending. I was expecting something else and it just was…weird. However, I loved this movie because it is not a typical movie about a murderer like all the others; very creative.

I saw the movie on …
I saw the movie on a 52 inch screen, with surround sound – so that made the movie even better! The movie is based on a book, so as most people know, it is very difficult to bring a visual from the form of a book (the ending was probably really hard to represent – it’s like explaining a dream that you had to a friend). However, it was really well done and I like the fact that it wasn’t casted with well known celebrity actors.

excellent review. I had to read the book at schook when I was 15. The ending is weird, but it has style.
