Is this Dolce and Gabbana Light Blue a fake?
Posted by: | CommentsAfter a friend told me that I could buy my favorite perfume on ebay for a fraction of the cost of department store prices, I quickly logged on and ordered some Light Blue from a "top seller" on ebay. I was completely unaware of the fact that many people pawn off fake perfume on ebay when I bought it. It was only when I noticed one or two negative and neutral feedbacks on the sellers page that said they received fake perfume did I realize my blunder. I have been reading some guides on how to spot fakes since I placed my order so I would be prepared when it arrived. It arrived today. It seems to smell right (this is my first bottle of the perfume, so my friend is going to bring hers over so we can compare), everything about the box and the bottle seems 100% authentic (velvety, cloud patterned box, little ingredient list down at the bottom on the back , "Only to be sold at authorised Dolce and Gabbana retailers" message at the very top of the back, no misspellings, and it is a 3.3 oz. rather than a 3.4 oz, which doesn’t exist). But there are some red flags going up. The box says it was made in Germany. I thought Light Blue was made in Italy? And the seller lives in New York (which is home of many professional designer fakers) and sells many designer fragrances for low prices with free shipping. Should I return this perfume? Or does it seem legit?
I just got this parfume at Macys yesterday for christmas, and Dolce and Gabbana Light Blue which is my favorite parfume is 3.3 oz. but it is not made in Germany, it’s made in Italy is says it right on the box, so I would return it if I were you.
Different kinds of perfume for a special evening?
Posted by: | CommentsI really want a tropical, fruity, exotic smelling perfume for vacation. I also want one thats not like any other ones because a lot of them smell the same. I want something simular to Light Blue by Dolce & Gabbana. What is one that will stop people when you walk by and turn around to see what that wonderful smell was! Can you give me a few suggestions please?
There are some new summer perfumes, that smell exactly like you want them: tropical, fruity and exotic.
My favorites this year are: Moon Sparkle by Escada or Incanto Heavon by Salvatore Ferragamo.
An additonal benefit is that these are limited editions, so you won’t see everyone and your cat wearing it.

Ever tried it and do you think it will make a great christmas present?
Let me know thanks…
I prefer the original. Have you sampled Givenchy’s Play? Very nice combination. Introduced to it at Ulta by a group of fellow consumers who were checking it. Play is one of the better "news" to hit the market.
EDIT: I’m sorry, I thot you meant "The One" for men. Lightly worn "The One" for women would do okay for an office worker, but if you are wanting to associate some other scent message for yourself, not a great choice.

Can you put perfume in a plastic spray bottle?
Posted by: | CommentsI really love my Dolce and Gabbana perfume, but the top of the glass bottle broke. It won’t spray. My dad took the top off so we can pour it out, and the only empty spray bottle we have at home is a plastic one, like you can get at Ulta, that hair salons might use to spray water.
Would the perfume have a bad reaction in plastic? Or would it smell differently? Or would this bottle work fine? ….thanks
It will smell the same in the bottle in the beginning, but it can lose its smell and can evaporate in a plastic spray bottle a lot faster than it would in a glass one. If you go to Ulta or a similar store, they should sell little glass replacement bottles.
